Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Kedara Guide at kedara.care. By accessing or using Kedara Guide, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the service.

• Acceptance of Terms

  By accessing or using Kedara Guide, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Kedara Guide on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that person to these Terms.

• Description of Service

  Kedara Guide is a free, browser-based AI chatbot that helps family caregivers in the SF Bay Area find and navigate elder care resources across San Francisco, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Santa Cruz counties.

  Kedara Guide is currently in beta. The service is provided as-is and features may change without notice.

• Session Data and Conversation History

  When you use Kedara Guide, we collect and store the following information to operate and improve the service:

  • Your conversation messages and the AI-generated responses within each session.
  • An anonymous, browser-generated session identifier used to maintain conversation continuity.
  • Metadata such as timestamps, query categories, and whether a response was deflected or escalated.

  We use this data to:

  • Provide and operate the Kedara Guide chatbot service.
  • Improve the accuracy, safety, and relevance of AI responses for all users.
  • Identify gaps in our knowledge base and expand elder care resource coverage.
  • Analyze usage patterns and improve the overall caregiver experience.

  Session data is retained for a limited period and is subject to our Privacy Policy at kedara.care/privacy.

• Personal Information — Important Notice

  ⚠  DO NOT share sensitive personal information in your conversations with Kedara Guide.

  Conversation data is stored and may be reviewed to improve the service. Kedara Guide does not currently apply automated redaction to stored conversations. We strongly advise you NOT to share the following in your messages:

  • Full names, Social Security numbers, or dates of birth
  • Home addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses
  • Medical record numbers, insurance IDs, or financial account details
  • Any other information you would not share in a public setting

  Please treat your Kedara Guide conversations as you would a public forum.

• No Medical Advice or Diagnosis

Nothing in Kedara Guide's responses constitutes medical advice, a clinical recommendation, or a substitute for consultation with a licensed healthcare professional. Always consult your physician, a licensed healthcare provider, or a qualified social services professional before making decisions about medical care, treatment, medications, or health-related services for yourself or a person in your care.

  Kedara Guide is a resource navigation tool. It helps caregivers find publicly available elder care services, agencies, and programs. It is not a healthcare provider and does not have access to any individual's medical records or health history.

• Accuracy of Information

  Kedara Guide draws on a curated knowledge base of publicly available elder care resources. While we work to keep this information current and accurate, we make no warranty that:

  • All resource information (phone numbers, addresses, eligibility rules, program availability) is complete or up to date.
  • AI-generated responses will be free from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
  • Resources listed will be available, funded, or accepting new clients at the time of your inquiry.

  Some responses may not be accurate. Always verify critical information — especially phone numbers, eligibility requirements, and service availability — directly with the relevant agency or provider before relying on it.

• Scope Limitations

  Kedara Guide is scoped exclusively to elder care resource navigation for the 9-county SF Bay Area. The service will decline to answer questions outside this scope, including:

  • Medical diagnosis or clinical treatment recommendations.
  • Legal advice, including estate planning, conservatorship, or elder law.
  • Financial advice, including benefits eligibility determinations or financial planning.

  For legal or financial matters, please consult a licensed attorney or financial advisor. For benefits eligibility, contact the relevant county agency directly.

• Intellectual Property

  The content, organization, graphics, design, and other elements of kedara.care are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. The name "Kedara" and the Kedara logo are proprietary intellectual property of Kedara, Inc. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on kedara.care without prior written permission.

• Limitation of Liability

  To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kedara, Inc., its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • Loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Decisions made in reliance on information provided by Kedara Guide.
  • Inability to access or use the service at any time.
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

  Your use of Kedara Guide is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

• Privacy

  Your use of Kedara Guide is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at kedara.care/privacy. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use, and protect information in connection with your use of the service. By using Kedara Guide, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
